Causes and methods of temperature rise during use of bearing

Reasons for bearing temperature rise:

(1) Bearing cooling water interruption.

(2) The oil quality deteriorates, the oil itself is not clean or the oil deteriorates during operation. If the water in the oil increases, the acidity of the oil will increase, the lubricating effect of the oil will be reduced, the bearing bush will be corroded, and the bearing temperature will rise.

Phenomenon:

(1) The turbine side panel turbine machinery fault light indicator is on, the instrument temperature indicating the bearing temperature rises, and the signal relay acts.

(2) Alarm bell rings

(3) Issue fault signal for bearing temperature rise.

(4) The black needle of thermometer dial (expansion thermometer) overlaps with or exceeds the yellow needle.

HANDLING OF

When the bearing temperature rises, first judge whether there is misoperation. If it does rise, handle as follows:

(1) Check whether the bearing has abnormal noise and check whether the bearing swing is abnormal.

(2) Check whether the cooling water pressure, water flow and pipeline system are normal. If the water pressure is too low, the filter may be blocked and cannot be handled in time, it can be shut down for treatment, and put into use when it is confirmed that it can work.

(3) Take the oil sample to observe whether the oil color changes and test to see whether it is deteriorated. If it is confirmed to be deteriorated, shut down and replace with new oil.

(4) The oil pressure of the governor should be checked, and a low oil pressure may cause the cooling water hydraulic valve to close.

(5) Check whether the oil level of the oil pointer is normal. If not, check whether the oil drain valve of the oil groove is closed tightly. If it has been closed tightly, oil shall be added. If the sealant pad leaks oil, it shall be shut down for treatment
